Patmos, else known as the Jerusalem of the Aegean or the island of the Apocalypse, is the northernmost island in the Dodecanese complex. It is located in the south-east of the Aegean Sea, surrounded by the islands of Lipsi, Leros, Arki and Agathonisi as well as smaller islets Patmos is populated by 3000 residents and constitutes of an important tourist destination mainly the periods of Easter and during the summer months.
